With a plethora of holiday attractions on offer, Los Angeles is simply the holidaymaker’s delight. A great place for an exciting vacation, you will simply be on your toes while in Los Angeles. Los Angeles remains the holidaymaker’s paradise. If you are looking for something unusual to do on your holidays then Los Angeles is the place to be. Take your pick from the cultural, fun and adventurous things to be done in LA.
I made sure that my LA holidays included a bit of all these and of course some fun in the sand- yes, the beaches! The museums, water parks and theme parks too were included in my travel itinerary. Reaching LA is easy- thanks to the superb connectivity of the city and inexpensive flight tickets from the other parts the world. All the major airlines have regular flights to Los Angeles and there are many cheap tickets to Los Angeles that you can grab. So, I ensured that I booked my tickets early and made the best deal. The internet too was a good place, so I started looking for my flight tickets there.
What to Include in your Travel Itinerary
I ensured to include the Adamson House- the prefect Malibu home and the cathedral dedicated to Our Lady of the Angels, designed by Prof. Jose Rafael Moneo. The very contemporary design with absolutely no angles remains a very popular tourist draw. Besides, it remains the third largest cathedral, beautifully illuminated at night. There are the popular celebrity graves belonging to some of the greatest entertainers of all times and I made sure to include the Holy Cross, Hollywood Forever, Glendale, Westwood Memorial Park and the Forest Lawn. I would also love to stroll down the Grove and the Farmer’s Market and enjoy the bustling LA life in midst of stall, shops and cafes. There is also the Grand Central Market which will give a true flavor of the busy Los Angeles life. You might also enjoy the historic downtown of Pasadena which has plenty of popular nightspots.
Hit the Hollywood
If you are lucky you are sure to one of the celebrities. No wonder Hollywood attracts loads of holidaymakers every year and there are plenty of attractions like the Walk of Fame and the Hollywood sign that you can enjoy. I was too excited and made sure that I do not miss out on any of these. Of course not to be missed out are those of Highland Center for entertainment and the Madame Tussauds wax showcase of popular celebs.
Shop till You Drop
We all could not agree more on what is a holiday without some good food and great shopping and I am no exception to this. LA also remains the shopaholics’ paradise and a premium shopping hotspot. The malls, the Street Promenade and the grove along with the open air markets are a shopper’s delight. Window shopping remains a favorite pastime and I would love to stroll down the streets watching the lovely merchandise.
