Dallas: A City Filled with Excitements

Dallas is a popular city in Texas. It is known as the largest economic center of 12-county and prominently emerged as a tourist destination in the world for featuring a historical importance of oil and cotton industries. The city was founded in 1814 and now it serves as one of the amazing tourist destinations in the world.


Climate

The city has humid subtropical climate and lies in a region that gets warm, dry winds from the north and west during summers. The temperature goes up to 38 °C during summers. The major reason for having hot summers is because of the presence of the Mojave Desert basin of Arizona, southern Nevada, and southeastern California. Winters remain mild to warm ranging from 13 degree Celsius to 21 degree Celsius. The season of spring as well as autumn is great to plan a tour at this city. Each year, the city receives around 37.6 inches of rain.

Architecture

The skyline of Dallas contains a range of different buildings that stand at an elevation of more than 700ft. Postmodernist skyscrapers include America Plaza Bank, JPMorgan Chase Tower, Fountain Place, Comerica Bank Tower, and Renaissance Tower.
Despite these, there are several smaller architectural structures which are designed in revival Gothic style like Kirby Building. One of the good examples of neoclassical style can be found in the buildings of Davis and Wilson. The city is packed with top-notch zoos, art, culture, nightlife, museums, entertainment, and many more excitements.


Dallas Zoo

It is located in their natural habitats and the animals ranging from every corner of the world. Visitors throng from various cities and countries to take a trip at this zoo. An ideal time to visit here is during summers when you can take Monorail ride and experience some Wilds of Africa. This zoo is based on an 85 acre park, home to some rare Sumatran tigers and huge amount of chimpanzees.

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

Just venture a little out of the downtown Dallas and you will experience a colorful arboretum based on White Rock Lake. This pleasing site offers daily tours and an open garden which can be accessed anytime year round. It is a home of many events that take place in its premises including weddings and banquets.

Dallas Sports

The Texas Stadium is worth your time. The Dallas Sports welcomes you to explore many different sports and entertainment events. The city is home to NBA basketball, arena football team, NHL team, and other sports squads.

Fair Park

Located at the southeast of downtown Dallas, the Fair Park was built to host the Texas Centennial Exposition in the year 1936.
