China: Ruled by Dynasties, Flourished by Nature

China is officially called as the People’s Republic of China and is a sovereign state that increases the pride of East Asia by attracting millions of visitors to the country. China is the most populous country in the world with over 1.35 billion. The country still has many great things and places to see and explore.

History

China is believed to be inhabited by early hominids between 250,000 and 2.24 million years ago. Its capital city Beijing still flaunts the ancient cave in Zhoukodian where fossils between 300,000 and 780,000 BC old are found. China was ruled by early dynasties, one of the major evidences is the world famous wonder – the Great Wall of China. Even after huge population, the country holds quite a lot of natural and man-made attractions which worth more than anything. Attractions of China

The Great Wall of China – Built between 5th century BC and 16th century, rebuilt and maintained in order to protect the Chinese Empire from the attacks of nomadic tribes in north. Majority of the current wall were built during Ming Dynasty and the condition today ranges from very good to ruined.

Terracotta Army – A collection of terracotta sculptures from the Qin Shi Huang during 221 BC to 206 BC is a great attraction to explore. They are the first emperor of China. It is the most renowned tourist attraction in Xian.  There were more than 8000 soldiers and 130 chariots with horses 520 in numbers and 150 cavalry horses. Most of them are still buried in the pits.


Victoria Harbour – It is the major tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is best known as among the deepest container ports in the world. Just stand at the bay and you can experience the stunning views of the Hong Kong Island’s skyscrapers and amazing Tsim Sha Tsui shoreline. This is one of the busiest harbors in the world. The best is to take a trip on Star Ferry.

Mount Huang – This is one of the leading travel destinations in China which offers amazing opportunity to enjoy the scenery including pine trees, granite peaks, and clouds.

Pudong Skyline – This beautiful attraction lies in Pudong district in Shanghai which is the financial and commercial hub of China. Experience the glorious skyscrapers touching the sky where 20 years back there was merely farmland.  The skyscrapers include Jin Mao Building, Shanghai World Financial Center, Oriental Pearl Tower, and Shanghai Tower.

The country is one of 17 mega-diverse countries in the world and boasts magnificent landscape. The climate dominates dry seasons and wet monsoons.
