Thinking of an exotic holiday I instantly conjured up the images of a Caribbean cruise. So I decided to get the best of the fun and sun with a trip to Barbados – this cozy island in the Lesser Antilles. First I decide to check out on the flights to Barbados. With nearly 18 airlines operating out of Bridgetown, the Barbados capital has no dearth of cheap flights to Barbados.

Flight tickets to Barbados can be booked via US Airways, American Airlines, Delta or Air Jamaica. I heard that even daily flights operate from the JFK Airport at New York. I decided to book the best airline tickets after checking out on all the early bird, round-trip, vacation time and discount offers.

The old port of Careen-age thrilled me no end with its restaurant, shopping center and seafront bar. I did not wanted to miss out on the famous Barbadian nightlife, so I made a tour of its famous nightclubs like The Boatyard, The Harbor lights and the Ship’s Inn. Locals talked about the annual fiesta called the Crop Over Carnival –seems to be quite a sight to see.
